Yesterday I enjoyed a brief, informal walking tour of Scripps College in Claremont. I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures, for those of you who are into that sort of thing:

A very fortuitous place for a random pot of flowers to be sitting.

Awwww… man, I miss Claremont. I know exactly where that is, too. Those are amazing pics btw. What kind of camera do you use?
Thanks. I just use a point-and-shoot Kodak I got for $150 the day after Thanksgiving at Wal-Mart a couple of years ago. The EasyShare ZD710, to be exact. Since it’s pretty limited, and since I know how to do all of about four things in Photoshop, I follow three simple rules in photography:
1) Tripod whenever possible.
2) Take multiple shots to try different settings.
3) Stop posting everything – people will think you are better if you only show them the good pictures.
Photography was one of the few classes I really got into, and oddly enough the only one I ever failed. I like rule #3, on myspace I don’t need to see pictures of a person’s shoes as they adjust their settings.
