Since I was getting a steady stream of spam comments through my “100%, guaranteed no-spam” plug-in, and its obtuseness was apparently off-putting to the possibly-several non-spambot readers I have, I’m trying a new comment CAPTCHA system. I installed it last night, and as of this morning have a handful of spam comments; although at least they deposited directly into the spam folder.
These days I tend to include spam and advertising in the same category of things that have become so counter-productively annoying and persistent that I belive their true goal is no longer commerce, but submission.
Anyway, I am also tinkering with a new theme, since I am told this whole “light-text-on-dark” scheme is so early oughts; and because, as usual, my attempt to represent my multi-tentacled creative interests has, as usual, turned this thing into a headache to navigate. So, if you have eyes that can see, you may see some funky layout blurps as I try to make the code obey.
