I went into a custom framing store to find out how much it would cost to put one of my pictures in something nicer than I’d get at Aaron Brothers, now that I have this nice new printer. The owner looked at the samples I showed him and assumed I wanted to buy in bulk so I could sell them or put them in a gallery show. I had to keep insisting “no, this is just a hobby, I’m going to hang this on my own wall”. Maybe I’m better at this than I thought – or maybe he’s just a good salesman.
