The latest issue of the on-line literary quarterly Front Porch Review is now posted, and the Fiction section features my short story “Marvin Karl and the Whatsit He Found on Tuesday”. This story was a change of pace when I took it on – a deliberate attempt to tell something that felt “clean”; no irony or craziness or magical realism, but simply a yarn with some laughs, character, and pathos set in a realistic environment populated by characters going about ordinary lives. It isn’t that easy – try it sometime.

The next prose piece I am likely to finish is a more ambitious attempt in the same vein, and so it is fitting and satisfying to have this one rolling out now.
