I have been very fortunate in the work I have had the chance to do since I started acting on-stage again. A big part of that is being able to target the shows you want to be a part of; but what I have found is that it can take a lot of leg work to get all that information together – one could make the argument that this clears the way for me to get roles that won’t be got by people not willing to work, and in a field so prone to competitiveness and insecurity this is a compelling argument. But I think it makes actors better to act, and I think it makes shows better when directors have a lot to work with at auditions; and all of that means better theater for audiences, which grows the theater community. So long term, it’s good for everybody if the word is out there about auditions.
In that interest, I have expanded the private list I was keeping for myself and built this list of upcoming auditions for stage shows in Orange County and nearby areas. You can also access it through the main menu on the left column. I will do my best to update it regularly, and encourage anyone with information about other stage opportunities in the area to drop me a line so I can include it. Use it in good health!
