The spambots, it would seem, are the only regular readers I have. They are also my most dedicated commenters, making at least 10 daily attempts to share news and links about exciting products – and that’s WITH Re-Captcha activated. Nice work, technology! This is the primary reason why it sometimes takes me days even to approve legit comments when they come; because it seems like such a flippin’ chore.

According to my comment in-box, their favorite post on which to attempt spamming comments is my review of The Clearing. Really, spambots? What’s the story, here? Trying to reach that white-hot demographic of Robert Redford fans who like clicking on garbage links? Or did some acne cream spambot with a poor sense for homographs mate heedlessly with that post and the rest of you just followed in dumb solidarity? If one spambot jumped off a cliff, would you all follow? Because you should.

Highly illogical
